XT3. Summary

Control heavy payloads in extreme terrain

TLDR Control heavy payloads in extreme terrain

Drive 6X6
Tires 44"
Starting at $249,900

AT44 XT3 represents the pinnacle of capability. Leveraging decades of expertise in 6X6 suspension design and vehicle construction.  This rugged platform excels in controlling heavy payloads with ease, delivering added comfort, and showcasing remarkable off-road performance.

Starts with a re-engineered Ford F350 Cab Chassis, featuring a fully boxed frame to accommodate the addition of the 2nd rear axle. The second rear axle effectively doubles the tire contact area, improving floatation and traction over snow and rugged terrain. This increased traction significantly enhances its snow/ice towing capabilities, establishing the platform as a true workhorse in the most challenging situations.

The proprietary 8-link air suspension design replaces the OE suspension, enhancing articulation, stability, and load-carrying capacity while riding on 44” Nokian/Arctic Trucks tires. Arctic Trucks meticulously re-engineers the body and frame to minimize suspension lift, maintaining a low center of gravity for equalized ground pressure on each tire. This design philosophy ensures a confident and comfortable ride with reduced driver fatigue.

XT3. Design

Built in, not up. Tires built into vehicle body for a lower center of gravity.

Our innovative, patent-pending driveline system is meticulously engineered to maintain a significantly lower center of gravity compared to conventional suspension lifts. By seamlessly integrating the tires into the vehicle body, we not only enhance the stability but also strategically modify both the driveline system and body structure to accommodate the substantial 44″ tires.

Tires Arctic and Nokian's high-flotation snow tire mimics the function of a belt

The Arctic Trucks snow tire, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 44″, is the culmination of years of polar expedition experience and advanced engineering collaboration between Nokian Tires and Arctic Trucks. This specialized tread compound delivers outstanding grip, durability, and low tire pressure driving performance. Each tire weighs approximately 155 lbs (70 kg), and when deflated, it mimics the function of a belt. Additionally, high-end MUD, AT, and Military tires are available to meet diverse off-road needs.

Suspension Advanced custom suspension systems for superior snow flotation and performance

A highly custom-designed, reinforced, and tuned suspension system provides optimized on & off-road performance, enabling this massive vehicle to float. Snow flotation requires the suspension system to translate the vehicle’s weight onto the ground in a very specific way—something we have perfected through numerous polar expeditions.

The XT3 features an 8-link dual axle air suspension system in the rear and coilovers with custom springs in the front.

Structural. Comprehensive chassis and suspension reinforcements for ultimate off-road durability

The body and frame undergo extensive changes and improvements. The original front section of the chassis and almost all parts of the front suspension and steering system are reinforced. The rear suspension framework receives the same level of attention, and all vehicles are equipped with Arctic Trucks fender flares featuring an integrated CTIS valve. Additionally, the frame is fully boxed using Strenx™ 700 high-performance steel for enhanced durability and strength.

CTIS. Wheels are connected directly to the CTIS system, allowing for remote inflation and deflation.

The Arctic Trucks wheels are fitted with a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) that is connected to the high capacity air system and in-cabin control system.   Allows for one button click to set the optimal tire pressure and the extra wide wheels assist with creating a very large contact area with the surface when deflated to single digit PSI.

Powertrain. Re-geared axles and differential lockers for enhanced performance and fuel efficiency

The front and rear axles are re-geared to accommodate the large tires, enhancing performance and maintaining optimized fuel economy. Differential lockers are installed on all axles and connected to the included air system for in-cabin activation, ensuring superior traction and control in challenging conditions.
